A brief video tour of the Hoh Rainforest

Here's a 90-second video tour of the Hoh Rainforest campground and Hall of Mosses Trail which leaves from nearby. Never have you seen so much green in one place -- trees, ferns, moss, lichen. It's a gorgeous "green-out." The park and campground are open year round.

  1. An amazing place... We camped there in the eighties in our VW Westfalia and were overwhelmed, as you are, with the beauty. Thanks for the memories. Travel safe, Chuck.

  4. Your getting pretty good with that camera! May I ask what program you are using to produce it with? PC or Mac. From your shots I would have a hay day in the Hoh rain forest. Maybe I will look that up. Hope to get on the road soon. You can answer on Facebook, Waynrdude.

  5. So beautiful! I live in SE Alaska which is also a rainforest with sights just like you've show here. Unfortunately, the views sort of disappear in the daily grind when you live with them. Your video made me appreciate again what I've lately taken for granted. Thanks!

  6. So very sorry your trip has been cut short. Enjoying your photos and essays so far and look forward to your picking up again when you can get back on the road. Ten or more years ago we visited the places you've been so far but were traveling in a rental car. While we were working it was too far to drive our rv. We loved the area and look forward to returning someday!

  7. We were just there last year and it is spectacular. Reminds me a lot of the McKenzie River trail in central Oregon. Near McKenzie Bridge
