Here's what it looked like this evening — Friday, August 14, 2015 at about 8:30 — from the shores of Lake Michigan at St. Ignace. I used a strong telephoto lens which made the sun look huge.
Just found out about the Yellow Cards for Proof of Insurance going into Canada. We leave Monday so I am having them mailed to my brother-in-law in Bonny Lake and we will pick them up on our way.....
I'm a USA citizen and I traveled in my RV across Canada, British Columbia to mid-Ontario, in September of 2014. There was no special vehicular insurance requirements for Canada, no "yellow card." I was asked about the amount of cash I was carrying, but when I told them I had $1000 CDN ready to spend, plus plastic and USD, that seemed to make Canadian Customs satisfied that I wasn't trying to sneak in and then go on their welfare. I tried to stay on Provincial roads exclusively, north of the Yellowhead Highway. BTW, at about $5 per gallon, it's easy to go through $1000.
Great area! Nice Forestry campgrounds near Munsing and AlTran.Glad you taking your time. Sue69
